The Give Kindness Podcast

Episode 1: Why a Bed Changes Everything (June 3, 2026)

In the very first episode of the Give Kindness Podcast, host Kelsey Hirt sits down with Andrea Buck, Director of Community Initiatives for Kindness Coalition and a dedicated volunteer with Sleep in Heavenly Peace.  Together, they discuss our current initiative to help provide beds for children in our community who are sleeping on floors, couches, or in less-than-ideal situations. Andrea shares what she's witnessed firsthand through bed builds and deliveries, why this need is more common than many people realize, and how something as simple as a bed can bring dignity, comfort, and hope to a child.  You'll also learn more about Sleep in Heavenly Peace, the impact they're making, and how our community can be part of ensuring that every child has a safe place to sleep.  It's a conversation about practical kindness, community impact, and why sometimes the smallest acts make the biggest difference.  Because no kid sleeps on the floor in our town.
